Insomnia Cookies, a late-night staple, rolled out two Supergirl-inspired cookies, presented in a dedicated Supergirl box sleeve and available while supplies last. How do Red Velvet Revenge and Lemon Solar Punch measure up? Do these treats embody their hero’s persona as deftly as KFC’s Lobo-themed ranch did? Here’s a closer look.
- Red Velvet Revenge by Insomnia Cookies Review

Pros: The red velvet cookie conceals a hidden center of blue sugar-cookie dough, delivering a visually striking appearance and a texturally engaging finish. Flavor-wise, the baked red velvet notes mingle with the raw sugar-cookie sweetness, producing a playful and very sweet experience. While Insomnia Cookies prides itself on cookies that arrive warm and soft, these remain pliant for days after delivery.
Cons: The red velvet crumble sprinkled on top doesn’t contribute any new flavors; I would have preferred a yellow crumble to complete the trio of superhero-suit colors represented by the cookie’s muse.
- Lemon Solar Punch by Insomnia Cookies Review

Pros: This cookie lives up to its name with a bright, sunny profile. A generous core of strawberry jam sits at the center of the lemon cookie and holds up well across several days without needing sun exposure. The fruit flavors feel notably vigorous—I’d call their intensity “super.”
Cons: The toasted honey crumble on top gets overwhelmed by all the fruit flavors; I initially assumed it was just extra lemon until I read the flavor notes in detail. Reversing the crumbles on these two varieties would have produced a stronger visual contrast. (Is it obvious these cookies are good if most of my critique is about appearance?)
