The high-end robot vacuum market has become a theatre of almost vertigo-inducing technological arms races. A few years ago, crossing 10,000 Pa of suction power was a feat; today manufacturers rival in ingenuity and marketing arguments to lure a consumer willing to spend more than a thousand euros to delegate housework. In this arena, where Roborock and Dreame are among the fiercest contestants, a new actor is advancing its pieces with disconcerting aggression.
Mova, a young brand born from the Dreame stable, no longer intends to play the supporting role or offer budget alternatives. With the V70 Ultra Complete, the brand returns to the fray to reign over the top tier. To justify its pricing, it does not do things by halves. It introduces breakthrough technologies: the MaxiReach X system for bi-directional mechanical extension of brushes and mop, a dizzying suction force, and an eco-responsible approach via a dock station without consumables.
A cousin of the Dreame X60 Ultra Complete, it offers similar features, at a more approachable price. We put it under the microscope to verify whether the experience matches the investment.
Design and build: imposing, but practical
The Mova V70 Ultra Complete does not do discretion. Its dock is quite bulky and visible, and its white finish gives it a rather conventional look. At this price point, one might have hoped for a more premium approach, with plastics that feel more upscale or a more refined integration into a living room. It isn’t fatal, but the unit leans more toward a household appliance than a chic home automation accessory.
The docking station remains highly functional, though. Under the top lid, there are two large water tanks: 4.5 liters for clean water and 4 liters for dirty water. The capacity is comfortable and prevents constant trips to the sink, even in a reasonably large home. The front also hides the EcoCyclone system, which replaces the disposable dust bag with a manually emptied bin. It’s less convenient than tossing a bag without direct contact with dust, but it’s more economical and more durable in the long term.

The base also handles washing and drying the mops. The tilted washing board, hot-water jets, and warm air drying demonstrate a serious approach to automatic maintenance. There is also a mode that allows you to pull the robot out to clean the bottom of the station more easily. It’s exactly the kind of detail that doesn’t show up on a product sheet but changes daily maintenance for the better.
The vacuum itself inspires more confidence than its dock. The finishes are clean, assemblies solid, and the form remains compact despite the amount of technology aboard. The retractable LiDAR dome is one of its major strengths: when lowered, it allows the robot to pass beneath some low furniture, where many competitors get stuck due to a fixed turret.

Under the chassis, the V70 Ultra Complete hides its true singularity. While many premium robots offer a mop and a mobile side brush, Mova goes further with MaxiReach X. Specifically, the side brush can deploy 12 cm to fetch debris in corners, along skirting boards, or around furniture feet, while the straight mop also extends beyond its 16 cm footprint to kiss the edges.
It’s not just a mechanical vanity intended to pad the spec sheet. In a kitchen, entry, or a room with lots of furniture, this system enables the robot to recover crumbs, dust, and dirt that more classic models often leave behind. The V70 Ultra Complete doesn’t merely skim the walls: it actually extends its reach beyond its own diameter. This is probably the feature that sets it apart from the competition more than its stated suction power. After all, there are already many powerful robots; far fewer can better handle overlooked zones without manual intervention.

On the carpets, the robot benefits from its high power and its double rubber brush to go deeper into the fibers. Automatic boost engages when it detects a textile surface, and the mops can be raised or removed automatically depending on settings. The result is very convincing on short and medium-pile carpets. As always, thick, long-pile carpets remain more challenging, but the V70 Ultra Complete is among the easiest to handle in this task, extracting visible dirt in a single pass.
The noise level is also well controlled. At full power, the robot is audible but not unbearable. The sound from the mops can be more noticeable with a high-pitched tone at times, but overall it remains compatible with everyday use without feeling like living next to a dragging vacuum.
Floor washing: A deep clean
The washing relies on two rotary pads that spin quickly and apply constant pressure to the floor. The straight mop can extend far outward, allowing it to run along skirting boards, go under edges, and scrub around furniture legs with unusual precision.
In daily use, the result is striking. Footprints, damp dust, dirt, oil splashes, and fresh stains are removed effectively. When dealing with fresh coffee, recent mud, or fruit juice, the robot handles it in a single pass in most situations. The ability to use detergent automatically, with different settings per room, further enhances effectiveness.
The dock also adds real value. Mop pads can be washed in very hot water, up to 100 °C, and then dried with hot air. In fact, walking behind the robot, you can feel the heat of the washing water helping to lift stubborn stains. Of course, the robot frequently returns to base during a cycle to wash its pads and replenish water and cleaning solution.

Not everything is perfect, however. The CleanGenius mode, meant to automatically adjust cleaning intensity to dirt levels, sometimes lacks judgment. When faced with dried or sticky stains, the robot may prioritize suction when deeper washing would have been more appropriate. This is especially true for dried coffee, soda, or tomato sauce traces that require prolonged mechanical action.
The good news is that a manual pass with more aggressive settings and a cross-path route usually catches up, removing stains and dirt once the robot has done its job. For daily maintenance, it’s impressive. For dried-on spills from the previous day, you may need to take control in the app.
Navigation: A finely tuned and precise positioning
Navigation is one of the Mova V70 Ultra Complete’s strongest points. The robot quickly maps the interior, partitions rooms coherently, and then follows clean paths. It typically starts by tracing the perimeter before running a grid, without unnecessary repeats or a sense of improvisation.
The retractable LiDAR is particularly interesting. Lowering itself near low furniture allows the robot to maintain a height below that of many competitors equipped with a fixed turret. This is a real advantage for cleaning under sofas, media stands, or floating shelves. Of course, it all depends on the available clearance in your home, but if it’s more than 9 cm, the V70 Ultra can venture under it.

Obstacle detection relies on front cameras and a supplemental LED for dark environments. In practice, the robot reliably avoids shoes, cables, toys, furniture legs, or objects left on the floor. It is never advisable to deliberately leave thin cables in a robot’s path, but the V70 Ultra Complete is reassuring in a lively interior.
StepMaster 2.0 adds another trick: with small retractable feet, the robot can clear significant thresholds, up to 9 cm in the conditions advertised. It’s a rare capability, useful in older homes, during transitions between rooms, or at certain threshold points. However, it shouldn’t be seen as a magic promise: effectiveness always depends on the threshold’s shape, its grip, and its angle.
Overall, the V70 Ultra Complete gives the impression of rarely being caught out. It plans well, avoids obstacles well, navigates well, and handles complex situations properly. That’s precisely what you expect from a premium robot: for it to disappear from daily life.
Software: A highly advanced level of customization
The Mova app is one of the most feature-rich on the market. After pairing, mapping is fast and quiet, with automatic room recognition that generally works well. Once the map is generated, it can be deeply edited: merging or splitting rooms, marking forbidden zones, managing rugs, thresholds, furniture, curtains, or floor types.
Cleaning settings are numerous. You can adjust suction power, mop humidity level, wash temperature, rinse frequency, detergent usage, edge-cleaning strategy, or behavior on carpets. The robot can vacuum and wash at the same time, vacuum only, wash only, or alternate the two operations in a defined order.
This richness is both a strength and a limit. Demanding users will love configuring everything room by room. Others may find the whole thing dense, almost too comprehensive. It takes a few minutes to understand the menus and adjust the important options, especially rug management and mop extension.

The auto mode, CleanGenius, simplifies the experience by letting the robot automatically tailor its settings. For everyday use, it’s practical and effective. For very dirty floors, manual adjustments remain preferable. This is a point to keep in mind: the app gives a lot of control to the user, but automatic mode isn’t always the most performant.
The additional features are numerous: “Hey Mova” voice assistant, compatibility with Google Assistant and Alexa, a mode dedicated to pets, taking photos via the onboard camera, locating a pet in the home, or charging during off-peak hours. Some options border on gadgetry, but collectively they contribute to the impression of a very accomplished product.
Autonomy: More than enough, but no fast recharge
The Mova V70 Ultra Complete runs for about 2 hours and 15 minutes on a real-world charge. It’s enough for most homes, even with washing active. Like all premium models, it can automatically return to its dock to recharge and resume cleaning where it left off.
The actual autonomy will depend on suction power, water level, the number of times it returns to wash the pads, and the complexity of the home. A well-organized apartment will be cleaned faster than a house full of chairs, rugs, thresholds, and small obstacles.

The only regret is the absence of rapid charging during the mop-washing phases. Some competitors take advantage of mid-cycle station returns to quickly regain some battery. Here, the robot remains capable, but does not push optimization as far on this point.
The large water tanks limit interventions, while the bagless dust bin avoids regular consumable purchases. It will still need to be emptied and cleaned from time to time, which requires a bit more contact with dust than a sealed bag. That’s the trade-off between absolute convenience and long-term cost reduction.
Mova V70 Ultra Complete: Clubic’s verdict
The Mova V70 Ultra Complete is one of the most convincing robot vacuums-mops of its generation.
Its strength lies not only in its spectacular suction power but in the coherence of the whole package: it vacuums very well, washes effectively, reaches the edges better than most competitors thanks to its MaxiReachX system, and requires little manual maintenance. The extensible side brush and the offset mop are not mere marketing gimmicks: they genuinely improve cleaning in corners, along skirting boards, and near furniture. The bagless EcoCyclone station is also a compelling feature. It makes the product more economical in the long term and reduces waste, even if it requires manually emptying the dust bin.
However, there are a few drawbacks. The dock’s aesthetic polish isn’t commensurate with such a pricey product, and the CleanGenius mode can misjudge the most difficult stains. For stubborn soils, a manual, more intensive cleaning may still be necessary to obtain the best result.
That said, the overall balance remains highly positive. The Mova V70 Ultra Complete ranks among the best washing vacuums of today, offering a performance-to-price ratio that makes it more appealing than some competitors that are sometimes pricier and less bold in their mechanical approach.
