Krispy Kreme keeps pushing the envelope on donuts with bold, limited-time flavors. While I still haven’t had the chance to try their full summer lineup, I did manage to grab all three of the new Girl Scouts cookie-inspired donuts during a quick summer road trip. Let’s see if these cookie-flavored pastries can keep this road warrior energized or send her to dreamland.
Quick note on the availability of these three donuts: Lemon-Up and Coconut Caramel are exclusive to Krispy Kreme stores, but the Thin Mints donut will be sold in a 6-pack (split with classic glazed donuts) wherever Krispy Kreme donuts are sold in retail.

Pros: Lemon-filled donuts are a well-trodden category, yet this one nails the Lemon-Up flavor with surprising accuracy. In a blind taste test among lemon pastries, I’m confident I’d identify this as Lemon-Up, which would make for a hilariously grim challenge. Of the trio, this delivers the most faithful fusion of a Girl Scout cookie essence with a classic doughnut.
Cons: Speaking of Krispy Kreme’s broader menu… fruity donuts feel scarce. My favorite local shop has three jelly-filled options available 24/7, while Krispy Kreme keeps just one raspberry-filled option on the permanent lineup. Sure, there are fruity limited-time flavors, but that means the seasonal pick has to bring its A-game to measure up.

Pros: This one hits the coconut-forward vibe you’d expect from a Samoa/Caramel Delite-inspired treat. (For context, see my take on the Girl Scouts/f’real Coconut Caramel Milkshake collaboration—the cookie itself has two names.) The glazed base is dipped in chocolate icing to help a thick coconut layer cling to the top, finishing with a caramel drizzle to mimic the cookie’s striped look. In the end, it’s the crispiest donut I’ve ever tasted.
Cons: Even though chocolate (milk or dark) plays a major role in the cookie, the chocolate flavor here is rather faint. Having grown up in a Samoa bakery region where dark chocolate dominates, this donut’s subdued chocolate presence doesn’t quite mirror the recipe I’m fond of. Caramel deLite enthusiasts may find more delight here than I did.

Cons: The mint factor isn’t as bold as I’d hoped for in a Thin Mints-inspired treat, which I attribute to the use of non-minty chocolate chips—great for texture, but it dilutes the true minty essence I’m here to taste. If this donut were finished with pure Thin Mint crumble, it would easily earn a perfect 10/10.
