As expected from a VA panel, blacks cannot match OLED levels, but they’re still more convincing than most IPS panels. Xiaomi handles dark tones well, delivering convincing shadows and better contrast than many standard IPS panels we’ve tested.

If the colors are satisfactory for the price, HDR remains limited, underscoring the difference between a VA panel and a high-end MiniLED panel. Indeed, the colors aren’t the brightest we’ve seen on a gaming monitor.
