Occasionally, Crumbl hands me an uncomplicated week. After a stretch of “all-new!” lineups, Crumbl has unveiled a menu featuring just one fresh cookie for me to assess. According to Crumbl’s official flavor note, Midnight S’mores is described as “a rich chocolate cookie loaded with milk chocolate chips, then stuffed with a melty marshmallow, chocolate drizzle, and butter graham cracker crumbs.” Let’s see whether this can make up for my complete lack of camping adventures—pretty much never having spent a night outdoors.
- Midnight S’mores Crumbl Cookie Review
-
Pros: Have you ever tried s’mores with chocolate graham crackers? This cookie is a superb translation of a dessert that leans heavily on chocolate. In simple terms, it hides a full marshmallow inside—the gooey pull when I split the cookie apart was genuinely impressive… even if it introduced a small new issue I’ll address soon. I usually dodge marshmallow-based treats, but for fans of that style, this one is well-executed.
Cons: Folks, as a professional Crumbl cookie reviewer, I naturally own the official Crumbl cookie cutter. Even funnier, I actually possess an older version than what’s sold in stores today. Mine doesn’t bear Crumbl branding at all; the branding is limited to the iconic pink and a baker icon on the handle. These cutters are crafted to divide any standard Crumbl cookie (you know the Minecraft one) into 4 equal chunks. Is this meant for sharing? Is it because most Crumbl cookies designate one-fourth as a single serving? No one can say for sure!
I’m bringing this up to point out that the marshmallow on my Midnight S’mores cookie was completely situated on one side. There’s no scenario where I could cut this into four evenly sized pieces and have marshmallow visible in more than two. Is that a minor nitpick? Directly. That said, as I mentioned in a previous Toaster Strudel review, I’m here for parents carefully dividing snacks among siblings. This cookie could easily trigger a showdown in a family with eager onlookers. (And while I know we’re aiming for the classic s’mores recipe here, the term “Midnight” inevitably evokes dark chocolate; switch that in and I can guarantee the score would rise.)
