Angry Orchard Debuts New Flavors That Are a Real Thrill

Last year, Angry Orchard unveiled its inaugural Thriller Pack, a set branded with a classic horror slasher. For 2026, the brand teams up with Paramount Pictures and Fun World to place Ghostface on the hard cider shelf—just down the aisle from the spirits section he already calls home. Angry Orchard kindly sent over this year’s Thriller Pack, and we’ve got thoughts on the two new flavors among the eerie foursome.

Angry Orchard Mystery Caller Hard Cider Review

New Angry Orchard Flavor!

Only one of the four SCREAM Thriller Pack flavors actually features Ghostface’s most iconic mug on the can. (In truth, we aren’t sure which Ghostface is shown; the SCREAM wiki notes that fifteen different people have worn the persona across the franchise. While only a handful ever held the phone for this can, we can’t definitively narrow it down—that feels appropriate for this series.) Is this mystery flavor as legendary as the mask it bears? Spoiler alert: not really.

The cider comes off a touch tart, even with the 5% ABV, and it doesn’t quite deliver the electric lift of Blood Orange or the creamy-sweet finish of Caramel Apple Curse to temper that tartness. My hunch is this one leans toward guava—perhaps Kiwi Guava or Guava Strawberry? We’ll see if this SCREAM-inspired offering truly earns its two-part twist by delivering a surprise duo. (Spoilers? The film is three decades old at this point…)

Angry Orchard Caramel Apple Curse Hard Cider Review
Angry Orchard Caramel Apple Curse Hard Cider

New Angry Orchard Flavor!

Of the quartet, this one departs from the original profile the least. (In case you were wondering, the standard flavor profile for hard apple cider tends to be… apple.) That said, caramel apple remains a popular seasonal pick for a reason. Angry Orchard’s Caramel Apple Curse Hard Cider carries a gentle sweetness that smooths the cider before the alcohol makes its presence known.

If any of these flavors earn a return in next year’s Angry Orchard Thriller Pack, Caramel Apple Curse would be my pick to see again. And yes, I’d even love to see a Salted Caramel Angry Orchard in a similar vein come spring or summer 2027 so I don’t have to wait as long.
