The Bodywel T16 Pro is a 14-inch folding electric bicycle designed for those who want to tackle short urban trips without relying exclusively on a car, the subway, or a scooter. Its main strength lies in its format: it is compact, folds up, fits into many car trunks, and stores much better than a conventional bike.
It also earns points on price. It typically sits between about €370 and €519, depending on store, coupons, and availability. For a 250 W urban e-bike with disc brakes, suspension, a display, and an app, that’s an attractive figure. But not everything is perfect: the first contact can be more awkward than expected because the mounting instructions are poor and, in the unit reviewed, the printed manual did not come in Spanish.
Before continuing, a useful confession: the author is nearly 1.80 meters tall and weighs over 110 kg. On a 14-inch mini e-bike, the image wasn’t exactly the most flattering in the world, more ridiculous, really. Here I must thank my wife for helping during the test, as her build matched the bike much better and allowed a fairer assessment of which type of user it makes sense for. And this is one of the keys of the Bodywel T16 Pro: it isn’t a bike for everyone, but for the right person it can be very practical.
The Bodywel T16 Pro is a compact folding city electric bike, legal in Europe if used as a 250 W pedelec with assistance up to 25 km/h. It is worth it if you’re looking for something compact, affordable, and easy to store. It isn’t ideal for large riders, long climbs, long trips, or daily stair climbs.
