Fall has arrived, yet Costco’s newest offerings this week don’t scream autumn at first glance. Although there is one quintessential fall treat to look forward to (more on that later), the freezer aisle continues to welcome new frozen desserts alongside other items. What did I expect, anyway? It’s not as if they’ll shut the freezers for winter and switch to warm foods—though my body would thank me for a year without endless ice cream. In any case, here are the latest foods you can find at Costco this week.
Carnegie Deli Dark Chocolate-Covered Cheesecake Bites
Cheesecake morsels coated in dark chocolate. The only improvement would be if a hint of graham cracker crust were folded in somehow—that would be perfection. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case for this latest addition to Costco’s freezer lineup. We’ll take what we can get (which means stocking up with six bags in our freezer before they disappear).
Teo Gelato Variety Pack
Delicious indeed! This gelato assortment from Teo is packed with bold flavors. Inside you’ll find pints of Texas pecan sundae, coffee cookies and cream, and caramel cookies and cream. While I gravitate toward the classic cookies and cream, I’m not turning up my nose at these twists on the standard. My only wish is that the pack were a bit more Costco-friendly by including two pints of each flavor.
Campbell’s Chunky White Bean Chicken Chili
Ahh, the ideal snack or supper to warm you up after a round of frozen treats! It seems perfectly timed for Costco’s fall lineup. This white bean chicken chili from Campbell’s feels so quintessentially autumn that it borders on ironic to purchase it. Like, of course I’ll be eating chili beneath a cozy blanket—utterly basic! Costco nailed the season with this release.
Kirkland Signature Shortbread Cookies w/ Belgian Milk Chocolate
And back to dessert territory! While these shortbread cookies from Costco’s bakery might not be as sugar-dense as the frozen items we started with, they still offer a satisfyingly sweet bite. They’d work brilliantly for a quick snack throughout the week or to bring to a last-minute school function. It’s hard to imagine ever having too many desserts to share at those kinds of gatherings.
Sargento Cheese Bakes, Parmesan & Oregano
Now for a bold, savory finish to cleanse the palate. This one-pound bag of Sargento Cheese Bakes in Parmesan & Oregano should last a decent stretch, in theory. I did sample them while in-store this week, and I’m sad to say they’ll likely vanish far faster than expected—at least in any house I visit—so consider hiding them away if you’re planning to invite me over.
