Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni Review: A Mid-Range Robot Vacuum Making the Rolling Mop Mainstream

July 3, 2026
Tech

With the Deebot T90 Pro Omni, Ecovacs is trying to carve out a place in the ultra-competitive mid-range segment for wet-cleaning vacuum robots, where it faces notable rivals such as Mova and Roborock. Ecovacs bets everything on the roller mop, promising to scrub floors rather than merely wipe them. After several weeks of testing, let’s assess its real-world performance and whether these arguments are enough to set it apart from the competition.

Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro OMNI
Pros
  • Excellent value for money
  • Impressive suction power (30,000 Pa)
  • Roller mop cleaning efficiency
  • Autonomy and ultra-fast recharge
  • Low profile that slides under most furniture
Cons
  • Chaotic navigation at times
  • Obstacle detection a bit timid
  • App ergonomics
  • Poor build quality

Ecovacs was among the first major robot vacuum brands to massively shift the mopping function of its products toward roller-mop models, drawing on the expertise of Tineco, its sister company. For several years now, this approach has extended into the mid-range, bringing the promise of more hygienic cleaning to comparatively more affordable products.

On paper, the Deebot T90 Pro Omni has many selling points beyond its roller mop, which can also be offset to scrub along baseboards. Indeed, it offers mop washing at 75 °C, automatic detergent distribution, and strong suction. Moreover, it includes advanced technologies, whether AI obstacle detection or an onboard voice assistant.

With these assets, the T90 Pro Omni seems to have everything to please on paper. But how does it perform in daily life, especially in a home where floors require daily thorough cleaning? The answer lies in this comprehensive test.

Design and build: a simple, discreet aesthetic

We’re far from the days when Ecovacs models looked like refrigerators. The brand has worked hard on the product aesthetics, especially to make the multi-function dock more visually pleasing, and the result is fairly successful. Here you’ll find a vertical block in black or white, with a front panel slightly textured, without going overboard. It comes off easily, revealing the dust bag and the detergent reservoir. The water tanks are accessible from the top.

The robot itself takes a circular form, without a LiDAR dome on top, while the underside reveals the roller mop, the central roller brush, and a fixed side brush. Sensors are placed at the front of the robot, lowering its height and making it easier to slide under furniture.

As for build quality, one can tell this product isn’t Ecovacs’ most premium offering, with plastics that feel fairly thin and somewhat fragile. Not shocking at this price range, but Mova and Dreame perform better in similar-tier products.

Suction: a power to rival the best

With 30,000 Pa of suction, the Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni has muscle to tackle daily grime as well as spills or post-meal debris.

In a single pass, dust, small debris, and other dirt are sucked up from hard floors without needing to run at particularly high power. At least, that’s true when the dirt is in the center of the room. Things get tougher when dirt is harder to reach, especially in corners and along kitchen baseboards. Indeed, with a fixed side brush, it struggles to reach dirt in tight spots.

On carpets, suction helps lift most surface dirt. However, a dual-brush roller would be more effective at tackling deeply embedded dirt in thick carpets. Overall, results are decent, but I had to manually clean my doormat from time to time to keep it clean.

This effective suction does not come at the expense of quiet operation, as the T90 Pro remains quite quiet during cleaning, registering around sixty decibels.

Floor washing: generally effective, but more surface-level

For damp cleaning, the Deebot T90 Pro Omni uses a 27 cm roller mop. In addition to being cleaned in the station, it is constantly moistened during floor washing. A scraper is also provided to remove dirt that accumulates on it, preventing contamination of the rest of the floors.

In practice, the robot handles most tasks well, whether it’s dried coffee, ketchup, or even cola. An option lets the T90 Pro adjust its cleaning strategy according to the stains, allowing multiple passes and sending the mop back to the station to wash before resuming. This is precisely the behavior the Deebot adopts to clean dried coffee by performing multiple passes, then returning to wash the mop in the station.

However, this option hasn’t always been reliable. In fact, the robot barreled into fresh ketchup, splashing it around its wheels. It also failed to distinguish a puddle of fresh soda, happily diving into it and sucking it up. Nevertheless, all stains disappeared after the robot passed, which is exactly what you expect from it.

Navigation: a wandering path and cautious obstacle detection

Beyond solid cleaning, you expect a vacuum robot to move autonomously while avoiding obstacles on its route. On this front, the T90 Pro Omni is well equipped, featuring LiDAR-assisted navigation as well as a camera.

In practice, the experience is somewhat mixed. During the initial mapping, the division of rooms is reliable, and unlike many rivals, the T90 Pro doesn’t imagine rooms beyond glass. However, it cannot automatically identify them and simply numbers them.

When it moves, the robot sometimes follows surprising paths, revisiting the same spot several times for no obvious reason. It also sometimes underestimates the clearance between two pieces of furniture and gets stuck. The LiDAR being at the front doesn’t help, since it can’t “see” behind it while moving backward.

As for obstacle detection, it proved reliable, with the robot effectively avoiding cables, shoes, toys, and other everyday objects. It remains very cautious, taking a generous safety margin around them. Worse, when an obstacle is removed, the robot still assumes it’s present and continues to neglect the space.

Additionally, the robot includes a mechanism that enables it to clear thresholds of 2.4 cm, and up to 4 cm for double thresholds, allowing it to access rooms that aren’t perfectly level.

Software: a complete app but hard to grasp

Using a robot vacuum inevitably relies on a mobile app. Ecovacs’ app offers many customization options, but can be difficult to use.

On the home screen, it lets you start a full clean, by room, or by specific zones. This can be manually configured by adjusting suction power, water flow, cleaning speed, and the number of passes. To avoid being overwhelmed by all these settings, an “Agent Mode” allows you to automate these options intelligently.

In addition to these options, a very large number of parameters can be customized. For instance, how the robot should behave on carpets, obstacle-detection sensitivity, but also the frequency and temperature of mop washing and the drying duration.

In addition to these settings, numerous parameters can be customized. For instance, how to handle carpets, obstacle-detection sensitivity, as well as how often and at what temperature the mop is washed and how long it dries.

You can also set off-peak hours to optimize the robot’s charging cost, and enable PowerBooster charging, allowing the robot to recharge very quickly while it returns to wash its mops.

Ecovacs also delivers “geek” features, including the ability to control the robot remotely by viewing the live video feed. Finally, the robot includes the Yiko voice assistant, enabling direct voice control without needing a connected speaker.

Autonomy: ultra-fast recharging to never run out of juice

From a battery standpoint, the Deebot T90 Pro Omni is a real marathon runner. After nearly four hours of cleaning, it still had 30% battery left, which is simply impressive.

If that’s not enough, the robot features PowerBoost, allowing it to recover about 5% on the return to the station to wash its mops. This approach provides near-endless autonomy, though it will still be limited by the capacity of the water tanks for washing. Fortunately, these can sustain intensive washing on over 100 m², reducing daily manual intervention.

Additionally, the app lets you schedule charging during off-peak hours, reducing electricity costs.

Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni: Clubic’s verdict

Conclusion
Overall rating
8 / 10

The Deebot T90 Pro Omni is a solid mid-range product, particularly thanks to its attractive value-for-money proposition. On technical fundamentals, the manufacturer impresses: 30,000 Pa suction power is formidable, the roller mop inherited from Tineco delivers convincing wet cleaning for everyday stains, and XXL autonomy—backed by ultra-fast PowerBoost charging—makes it a strong ally for large areas.

Unfortunately, this surge of brute power is sometimes hampered by onboard intelligence that still lacks finesse. Between erratic navigation trajectories, overly cautious obstacle detection, and a feature-rich yet complex mobile app, the experience hasn’t yet reached the level of direct competitors. Moreover, visible compromises in plastic quality remind that Ecovacs had to make trade-offs to keep the price in the mid-range.

The Deebot T90 Pro Omni remains an excellent choice if you mainly want a durable, powerful robot capable of scrubbing your floors effectively without complaint. But if you prioritize navigation fluidity and a headache-free daily experience, more agile alternatives could be wiser, provided you’re willing to sacrifice the roller mop.
