For months, whispers have swirled about Pepsi’s holiday plans, and the official word is now out: a fresh cola is joining the festive lineup. After the success of Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream, a Vanilla & Cream variation will begin to appear on shelves throughout the holiday season. Pepsi generously provided a few early cans of Vanilla & Cream in both the full-sugar version and the Zero Sugar edition; let’s see if this can captures the warmth and cheer of the season.

Pepsi Vanilla & Cream Cola Review

Brand-new Pepsi Cola!

Pros: This variant stays faithful to its concept, delivering a creamy take on Pepsi’s classic formula with a touch of holiday warmth that feels right for the season. As soon as I grab a second can, I’m absolutely planning a Vanilla & Cream Float for an extra indulgent treat.

Y’all, this is a fine moment to enjoy vanilla cream sodas. More and more creamy takes are hitting the market, and many have proven to be lasting additions. While Pepsi Vanilla & Cream isn’t listed as a permanent rollout yet, I can imagine a future where strong positive feedback during this holiday release prompts a longer stay.

Cons: It isn’t my favorite holiday flavor pairing, though I suspect I’m not alone in that feeling. I would have welcomed a Cranberry Cream Pepsi or perhaps a Cinnamon Cream… and maybe Horchata wasn’t the best idea after all. Either way, this release has reminded me how wonderful Nitro Pepsi felt in its peak moments.

Pepsi Vanilla & Cream Cola Review
Pepsi Vanilla & Cream

Brand-new Pepsi Cola!

Pros: The Zero Sugar take on this holiday debut delivers more creaminess than the full-sugar version, probably because the artificial sweeteners bring a stronger sweetness overall. Whether you’re sipping Pepsi Zero Sugar by choice or on doctor’s orders, this recipe holds up just as well as the full-sugar option. It pairs nicely with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a lighter indulgence.

Cons: The extra sweetness can be a bit much for my palate, even with a penchant for sweetness. I’m not sure why the packaging includes a cookie motif; if you’re hoping for a bakery-style vanilla flavor in either variant, you may be disappointed.
