It isn’t crazy to say that returning from vacation can take a toll, especially on the mental level, when you’re not entirely happy with your routines: schedules snap back all at once, inboxes fill up, and there’s a sense that rest has been swapped for a race against the clock. This discomfort is often described as post-holiday depression, although it isn’t a clinical diagnosis by itself; when the distress is persistent, intense, or affects daily functioning, it’s wise to seek support. In the meantime, reclaiming small spaces of pause can help make the transition more manageable… to find little moments of mental calm.
