Invoxia GPS Pro Max: Testing the French 4G Vehicle Tracker That Tracks a Vehicle Second-by-Second

November 1, 2026

Real-time tracking to the second, 4G LTE-M connectivity, and up to six months of claimed autonomy. The new tracker from the French company Invoxia has strong arguments for keeping a close eye on a vehicle. Our hands-on also reveals a fairly bulky enclosure and a subscription that is noticeably more expensive than that of the Classic model.

A position that is several minutes old can be quite long when a motorcycle or car just disappeared. The Invoxia GPS Pro Max relies on second-by-second tracking to keep an eye on valuables from afar, whether in motion or at rest, abroad or simply within France. Already using the 2021 Classic LoRa/Sigfox-linked model, this shift to 4G LTE-M has long intrigued me. My conversations with Clément Moreau, Invoxia’s boss, during VivaTech last June sealed the deal for testing this Pro Max.

With the aim of seeing what this tracker brings to daily life, but also how it differs from Bluetooth proximity beacons or UWB tags. After all, there’s a difference between finding your keys under a sofa cushion and precisely tracking a motorcycle that is moving away. Unlike an AirTag, which relies on passing devices of the Localiser network to relay its position, this Invoxia tracker has its own 4G LTE-M connection.

Recharge now goes through USB-C, a welcome improvement over the micro-USB of the previous model we tested. On unboxing, it took 80 minutes to reach full charge. This timing reflects the battery state upon receipt, not a full 0-to-100% cycle.

The Invoxia GPS app, available on Android and iOS, centralizes activation and settings. It remains unchanged and groups together all trackers owned by the brand. The SIM card is built-in, with no mobile plan to configure separately.

Everyday use

In day-to-day use, the transition is fairly seamless. Our previous Invoxia already fulfilled its mission well, and the Pro Max does not radically change how you view positions. The primary difference lies in the network connection itself.

The 4G LTE-M broadens tracking to over 35 countries, whereas our LoRa/Sigfox model remains limited to domestic coverage. This is advantageous for vehicles crossing borders, subject to network availability. At sea, it obviously does not replace a satellite link offshore. In our underground parking tests, we did not observe better reception than with the LoRa/Sigfox network.

As with the Invoxia Classic, movement, vibration, and tilt alerts are complemented by customizable zones. The geofencing feature enables you to receive a notification when a property enters or leaves a defined perimeter. Handy for keeping an eye on a vehicle that should stay in the garage.

A novelty enabled by 4G LTE-M, three monitoring modes appear in the Invoxia app. Absence mode lets you schedule a period and designate an emergency contact with live tracking activated in case of suspicious movement. Alert mode enhances vigilance for a short parking session with Live Tracking (up to one position per second) and critical notifications. Proximity mode uses the phone’s Bluetooth connection to signal distance, for example when you forget your bag or suitcase that the tracker is tucked into.

The Live Tracking, or real-time tracking, brings a more tangible difference. With up to one position per second, it lets you follow the course of a stolen vehicle and relay updated information to law enforcement. The sense of payoff becomes clear when points are spaced by minutes apart. The only disappointment is that this mode is limited to 30 minutes to preserve the battery. You can extend it from the app, but you’ll need to keep an eye on your smartphone.

Be mindful, however, to distinguish frequency from precision. During our hands-on, the moving location was within tens of meters. Refreshing more often does not turn GPS into centimeter-accurate instrumentation, especially with a relatively compact device you can slip into a glovebox or a discreet spot in the vehicle. At a standstill, in parking, it becomes noticeably more precise, even in a first-floor underground parking setup of a modern residence.

The Live Tracking or real-time tracking brings a noticeably tangible difference. Refreshing more often does not turn the GPS into a centimeter-precise instrument, particularly with a relatively compact device you can slip into a glove box or a discreet location in the vehicle. When stationary, in a parking scenario, it’s immediately more precise, even in the first underground parking of a modern building.

The Live Tracking or real-time tracking brings a noticeably tangible difference. With up to one position per second, it allows you to follow the direction of a stolen vehicle and pass along updated information to the authorities. It’s understandable when you compare it to a sequence of points spaced by several minutes. The only frustration is that this mode is limited to 30 minutes to conserve the battery. You can extend it from the application, but you must keep an eye on your smartphone.

Be careful to distinguish between frequency and precision. During our test, the moving location was within about ten meters. Increasing the refresh rate does not turn the GPS into centimeter-precision gear, especially with a relatively compact device you may tuck into a glove box or a discreet car location. When stationary, in parking, it becomes immediately more precise, even in a first-floor underground parking of a modern residence.

Like the Invoxia Classic, motion, vibration, and tilt alerts are complemented by customizable zones. Geofencing allows you to receive a notification when a device enters or exits a defined perimeter. This is handy for monitoring a vehicle that should remain in the garage.

New in addition to the 4G LTE-M connection, three monitoring modes appear in the Invoxia app. Absence mode lets you plan a period and designate an emergency contact with live tracking activated upon movement. Alert mode increases vigilance for short-term parking with Live Tracking (up to one position per second) and critical notifications. Proximity mode uses the phone’s Bluetooth to signal distance, for example when you forget your bag or suitcase and the tracker is inside it.

The Vol dossier, already present in the Invoxia ecosystem, neatly complements the whole package. It automatically gathers location data into a shareable document with police and insurer access, with up-to-date tracker tracking. The timestamped history eliminates the need to reconstruct movements yourself. Another appreciated point is that Invoxia states data is hosted in Europe. For a device that keeps traces of our journeys, this choice matters when compared to competitors that aren’t always clear on this point.

As with the Classic, movement, vibration, and tilt alerts are complemented by geofence zones. The geofencing feature enables you to receive alerts when a device enters or leaves a defined area. This is convenient for watching a motorcycle or other valuables that should remain in a garage.

Also new, thanks to 4G LTE-M connectivity, are three monitoring modes available in the Invoxia app. Absence mode lets you schedule a period and designate an emergency contact with live tracking activated on movement. Alert mode heightens vigilance for short-term parking with Live Tracking (up to one position per second) and critical notifications. Proximity mode uses the phone’s Bluetooth to signal distance, for example if you forget your bag or suitcase containing the tracker.

The endurance is finally a strong promise. The 2,000 mAh battery should allow up to six months of autonomy, according to the manufacturer. Our hands-on was too short to confirm this duration, but it’s clear that endurance drops much more slowly than with our Classic tracker. Travel, reception, and how often data is reported all influence power consumption, and second-by-second tracking draws more from the battery. So, consider these six months as a maximum claimed duration.

Invoxia Tracker GPS Pro Max: Clubic’s verdict

Conclusion
General note
9 / 10

At 179 euros with one year of service included, the GPS Pro Max restores the seriousness we appreciate from the French brand Invoxia. Its international coverage, live tracking, app simplicity, and robust build make it a strong candidate for monitoring a motorcycle, a car, or valuable heavy equipment.

However, the price demands careful consideration. After the first year, remote tracking requires a renewal listed at 59.95 euros per year, compared to 29.95 euros for the Classic. If your existing tracker works fine and stays in France, you may not need to replace it. The extra cost makes sense mainly if you travel often or if second-by-second tracking is important to you. But before entrusting it with your motorcycle or your new electric bike, you’ll still want to find a good hiding place for it. For home keys, this may not be the ideal product… There are cheaper and much less bulky options on the market.

The pros
  • Tracking reliability
  • Up to 6 months of stated autonomy
  • 4G LTE-M coverage
  • Second-by-second position mode
  • Motion, vibration and tilt alerts
  • Protection IP67 and reassuring construction
The cons
  • Bulky casing
  • No mounting strap supplied
  • Subscription required after one year

Priced at 179 euros with a year of service included, the GPS Pro Max recovers the seriousness we value from Invoxia. Its international coverage, live tracking, app simplicity, and sturdy construction make it a compelling candidate for monitoring a motorcycle, a car, or valuable heavy equipment.

However, the bill deserves thoughtful consideration. After the first year, remote tracking requires a renewal priced at 59.95 euros per year, versus 29.95 euros for the Classic. If your current tracker satisfies your needs and remains in France, there’s no obligation to replace it. The extra cost is justified mostly if you travel, or if second-by-second tracking is essential to you. But before entrusting it with your motorcycle or your new electric bike, you’ll still need to find a good hiding spot for it. And for house keys, this may not be the perfect product… There are cheaper and much less bulky options on the market.

The pluses
  • Reliable tracking

  • Second-by-second position tracking mode
  • Motion, vibration and tilt alerts
  • IP67 protection and reassuring construction
The cons
  • Bulky housing
  • No attached cord supplied
  • Subscription required after one year
