The Samsung S92H revisits a formula now well established by the manufacturer, but with an evolution that significantly shifts the balance: its Glare Free anti-reflective treatment. On the tested 55-inch model, Samsung pairs it with a WOLED panel that is exceptionally bright, capable of approaching 1,500 cd/m². Is it possible to obtain an OLED TV that is equally comfortable in the dark as in broad daylight?
The S92H holds a central place in Samsung’s 2026 OLED lineup. Positioned below the maker’s top-of-the-line models, it borrows much of their arsenal this year: NQ4 AI Gen3 processor, up to 165 Hz, four HDMI 2.1 inputs, very complete gaming features, and above all, the Glare Free anti-reflective treatment.

The strengths and shortcomings of the S92H are explained in this summary. The device presents itself as a balanced OLED with robust brightness for its class and an excellent glare resistance in daylight, while offering a feature-rich gaming experience and a complete smart-TV experience.
The list of advantages begins with the image quality in both SDR and HDR, accompanied by very high brightness for WOLED, Glare Free efficiency, standout color fidelity, OLED contrast and blacks, a quartet of HDMI 2.1 ports, 165 Hz and comprehensive gaming options.
The drawbacks include the ongoing absence of Dolby Vision, a color volume that lags the best QD-OLEDs, audio that is adequate but not outstanding, and a Tizen experience that remains somewhat busy.
It is worth clarifying one point about the French lineup. Not all S92H diagonals rely on the same panel technology. The 55-, 65- and 83-inch versions use a WOLED panel, like our 55-inch model, while the 77-inch stands out as an exception with a Samsung Display QD-OLED panel. The 42- and 48-inch models also use WOLED, but with panels less bright than those employed on the larger diagonals. In short, the measured performance here should not be extrapolated to the entire range.
Samsung S92H: performance and image quality
Our measurements
So yes, it is the 55-inch TV that interests us here. It relies on a WOLED panel, a well-known technology that has evolved a lot in recent generations, notably in one of its main weaknesses: brightness. The S92H is expected to push this panel to its limits, both in HDR specular highlights and as the illuminated area grows—a challenging task for OLED due to its ABL limiting peak brightness.
Finally, Samsung pairs this panel with its NQ4 AI Gen3 processor and continues to offer the Filmmaker mode, which we used for most of our measurements. The objective is straightforward: determine whether the brightness increase is accompanied by faithful rendering in SDR and HDR, and how the TV handles its highlights as the panel’s capabilities approach their limits.

To obtain the most faithful image possible, we conducted our measurements in Filmmaker mode with processing that could alter the rendering disabled.
In SDR, the S92H delivers a solid performance right out of the box. We record an average Delta E of 2.9 on the grayscale, i.e., below the threshold of 3 from which drifts typically become perceptible. The RGB balance remains relatively stable across the scale, although the red hue gradually dominates at the brighter levels.

The average color temperature is measured at 6,114 K. We are slightly below the 6,500 K target, giving the image a slight warm bias. The delta remains within a range that does not demand calibration unless one seeks an exceptionally precise rendering.
The average gamma is almost perfectly on target at 2.408. The curve is not perfectly linear, with minor variations in the dark and bright regions, but the overall behavior remains very satisfactory.

On the color fidelity side, results are excellent. We record an average Delta E 2000 of only 1.32, with a maximum measured at 4.87. A few hues deviate more than the reference on occasion, but the overall image remains very well controlled and well below perceptual thresholds in most cases.
HDR measurements continued
The Samsung S92H supports HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG, but continues to skip Dolby Vision. This is a known omission from Samsung, which remains committed to its own dynamic metadata format. The TV is also compatible with the new HDR10+ Advanced, an evolution introduced this year (primarily on Prime Video so far), which adds several processing steps aimed at better adapting HDR rendering to viewing conditions and content characteristics.

In HDR, the Filmmaker mode preserves excellent color accuracy. We record an average Delta E 2000 of 1.63, well below the 3 threshold where deviations become noticeable. Some hues do depart from the reference more noticeably, with a maximum measured at 4.58 on the white, but overall the rendering remains particularly well controlled.

The color space coverage is robust. We measured 98.97% of the UHDA-P3 and 75.4% of BT.2020. The first figure confirms that the S92H nearly covers the space used by most HDR content today. BT.2020, as expected, remains more limited than on the best QD-OLEDs, largely because the WOLED relies on a white subpixel.
HDR continuation
The Samsung S92H supports HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG, but still omits Dolby Vision. A familiar absence for Samsung, which continues to rely on its own dynamic metadata format. The TV is also compatible with the new HDR10+ Advanced, an evolution introduced this year (Prime Video currently serves as its main showcase) that adds several processing steps aimed at better adapting HDR rendering to viewing conditions and content characteristics.

Colorimetric coverage finally proves very solid. We measured 98.97% of UHDA-P3 and 75.4% of BT.2020. The first figure confirms that the S92H almost covers the space used by most HDR content today. BT.2020 remains logically more limited than on the best QD-OLEDs, largely because the WOLED relies on a white subpixel.
The image rendering—the exacting balance between color and brightness—remains one of the S92H’s strongest assets in the Filmmaker mode. The color rendering is natural, the flesh tones are convincing, and HDR content benefits fully from the near-complete coverage of P3. Only when you push very saturated, bright colors does the WOLED begin to reveal its limits compared to the best QD-OLEDs, such as the recently tested Samsung S99H.
The processor helps upscale and process lower-resolution sources. With a good 1080p signal, the result is convincing: the image gains detail without introducing artificial edge sharpening too aggressively. The S92H can extract a lot from a good source.

Bright spots benefit from a peak HDR of nearly 1,500 cd/m² within a 10% window. Reflections on a car body, night lighting, flames or the sun appear with strong intensity, all aided by the pixel-level control that OLED allows. This combination is what continues to give OLED its clear advantage in complex scenes over Mini-LED.
The S92H also preserves many details in dark areas. Near-black tones are accurately reproduced, and there isn’t a strong tendency to crush the lower gray levels. In very challenging scenes, the transitions near black can reveal some of the usual OLED subpixel irregularities.

The colors are rich without appearing as if Samsung is forcing saturation or punchiness, at least in Filmmaker mode. The skin tones render naturally and HDR content benefits from almost full P3 coverage. You really have to push for heavily saturated and bright colors to begin to perceive WOLED limits versus the best QD-OLEDs, such as the Samsung S99H we recently tested.
The NQ4 AI Gen3 processor also handles upscaling and processing of lower-definition sources. With a solid 1080p signal, the result is convincing: the image gains detail without contours becoming artificial, and the S92H can extract a lot from a good source.

Gaming
The S92H is particularly hard to fault when it comes to gaming. Its four HDMI ports support the features required by modern consoles and PCs, with VRR, ALLM, FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync compatibility. The refresh rate can reach 165 Hz with a compatible PC, while current consoles enjoy 4K at 120 Hz as expected.
OLED’s instantaneous response rounds out the experience. Fast-moving scenes stay sharp and the S92H is particularly pleasant for quick gameplay.

Samsung’s Game Bar remains handy for a quick check of signal frequency, VRR operation, or to adjust some settings without combing through all menus.
HDR retains much of its appeal in Game mode. This is an intrinsic advantage of OLED: unlike some Mini-LEDs that sometimes must simplify backlight management to keep latency minimal, the S92H preserves per-pixel control over brightness.
The absence of Dolby Vision also affects gaming, but its impact is less significant here than on some competing TVs given HDR10+ Gaming support and the excellent brightness level available.
Power consumption
To compare the S92H’s energy use with other TVs we tested, we adjusted brightness to achieve 150 cd/m² on a white target occupying 10% of the screen.

Design and Connectivity
The S92H remains faithful to Samsung’s aesthetic language for several generations now. From the front, the screen dominates, with very slim borders and a restrained overall look that helps it blend into a living room.
As is common with OLED, the top edge of the panel is extremely thin. The thickness grows toward the bottom where the electronics, speakers and ports reside.

The stand is practical. It avoids the need for a cabinet as wide as the TV itself and leaves space for a soundbar in front of the screen. In terms of ports, this S92H remains one of its strong suits. Samsung does not reserve HDMI 2.1 for only two inputs: all four HDMI ports can accommodate demanding devices. This is especially welcome when you own several consoles, a PC, and an external sound system using eARC. You’ll also find USB, Ethernet, an optical audio output, and the tuners needed for TV reception.

The SolarCell remote still accompanies the TV. Compact and deliberately minimal, it includes a small solar cell that recharges its battery with ambient light, while a USB-C port provides a backup if needed. The absence of disposable batteries remains welcome, even if users accustomed to feature-rich remotes may find the minimalist approach a bit spartan.
Samsung S92H review: Clubic’s verdict
The Samsung S92H stands out as a very convincing OLED. Its panel reaches nearly 1,500 cd/m², retains more than 300 cd/m² in full-screen mode, and delivers excellent fidelity in SDR and HDR. Above all, the Glare Free treatment proves extraordinarily effective against reflections, making the TV highly pleasant to watch in a bright room without sacrificing the deep blacks and contrast inherent to OLED.
The S92H is also very well equipped for everyday use, especially for gaming with four HDMI 2.1 ports, VRR, and 4K up to 165 Hz. However, not everything is perfect: WOLED remains somewhat behind QD-OLED in color volume, Tizen remains fairly busy, the audio section lacks ambition, and Dolby Vision is still not supported.
That said, the S92H offers an excellent overall balance. It is neither the most spectacular OLED in every area, nor the brightest TV on the market, but its strong image quality, comprehensive equipment, and particularly its effectiveness in bright environments make it a very versatile model to recommend.
Everyday experience
Audio
The audio portion is more conventional. The S92H provides a clear enough sound for everyday programs, with dialogues properly separated and a soundstage that slightly exceeds what the screen alone can offer.
The Object Tracking Sound aims to align the source of on-screen effects with their position. The result adds a touch of width and coherence, but obviously you shouldn’t expect the TV to reproduce a fully immersive audio bubble by itself.

What are the best soundbars in 2026?
The low end is where the chassis’s physical limits become audible. The most ambitious soundtracks lack bite and dynamics, revealing a noticeable gap between what the image can produce and what the speakers can reproduce.
Interface and features
The S92H runs on Tizen, which remains one of the most comprehensive Smart TV systems on the market. The main streaming platforms are present, as are Samsung’s own services, the various smart-home features, and operator platforms.

The interface is responsive, and navigating menus poses no particular difficulty. Samsung continues to fill the home screen with a lot of content and recommendations, which can feel cluttered when you simply want to jump to a source or app.
As with other Samsung TVs in this generation, artificial intelligence takes on a growing role in the experience with Vision AI Companion. Accessible from a dedicated button on the remote, it gathers several features to obtain information about the content on screen, search for related content, or ask general questions to various AI agents. Copilot and Perplexity are part of the available services, alongside Bixby for on-TV interactions.

Gaming
The S92H excels at gaming. Its four HDMI 2.1 ports handle all the necessary features for modern consoles and PCs, including VRR, ALLM, FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync compatibility. The refresh rate can reach 165 Hz with a compatible PC, while consoles gain the usual 4K at 120 Hz.
The OLED’s responsiveness makes the rest easy. Transitions are exceptionally quick, delivering crisp motion and making the S92H particularly enjoyable in fast-paced games.
