The phrase “scoopable cookie dough” has been making the rounds on social media for quite some time, and Crumbl is among those who track cookie trends with keen interest. This week, the brand’s signature pink branding launches its own take on this viral idea—plus an ice-cream-inspired mousse dip to boot.

Crumbl graciously forwarded this new dessert for me to test. Crumbl’s own description calls for a warm, baked, gooey brown-sugar cookie dough studded with melty milk chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate chunks, served with a generous mound of ice-cream-inspired vanilla bean mousse. I’m smitten by every adjective in that line, and I’m eager to see whether Crumbl has managed to reinvent the wheel here.

Crumbl Scoopable Cookie Dough Review

New Crumbl Dessert!

Pros: Crumbl tends to push the envelope with wildly inventive cookies (for better or worse), but this lighter twist on a familiar pairing is a welcome return to form. The brown-sugar cookie base feels indulgent and homey, while the mousse delivers true ice-cream vibes (partly because it stays cold while the cookie dough is warm) without sagging into mush as you reach the final bites. I’d love to see Crumbl translate more of their cookie recipes into these scooped desserts; a Red Velvet version with a cream-cheese dip would be fantastic.

Cons: The idea of “baked cookie dough” leaves me a bit puzzled. It doesn’t have a raw dough texture, yet it remains softer than Crumbl’s already-soft, warm-baked chocolate chip cookies… while a crust-like texture persists in spots. Crumbl often gets dinged for being underbaked; is this concept leaning into that critique?

What else is new at Crumbl this week?

While Crumbl is widely regarded for rolling out glossy new treats on a weekly basis, the brand has accrued a sizeable catalog of prior flavors. As a result, this week’s Scoopable Cookie Dough stands as the sole fresh item amid a lengthy lineup. The Strawberry Heart Cake, Confetti Cake Batter Cheesecake, OREO Brookies & Cream Cookie, Caramel Apple Cookie, Sea Salt Toffee Skillet Cookie, and Frozen Hot Chocolate Cookie desserts are all making comebacks from earlier menu runs. On the meticulously curated “Every Crumbl Cookie” site, the Caramel Apple Cookie is identified as the most frequently offered; this week represents the eighth time in Crumbl’s history that this cookie has been available.
