If I’m feeling generous, I’ll also admit that the marshmallow mousse provides a pleasantly light and fluffy texture that some will enjoy.
Cons: There’s a far longer list of issues to discuss here. As a fan of Oreos, it’s disappointing when a cookies-and-cream creation ends up feeling off. First, the cookie part itself is unusually soggy, whether from underbaking or from losing structural integrity upon meeting the filling, and it begins to crumble in your fingers almost immediately. There aren’t crispy edges, and the texture is largely one-note. As for the filling, the “marshmallow” mousse tastes nothing like marshmallow and doesn’t resemble cookies and cream, despite how it’s marketed to mix those flavors in. The brownie morsels in the filling are so large that they break apart the sandwich itself and overwhelm the mousse’s flavor.
