Underneath the whipped-cream-topped outer layer lies a cool, pumpkin pie-flavored ice cream. The spice mix—cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves—is present but kept delicate, so it doesn’t feel like you’re munching through a full slice of pumpkin pie. As with every Bubbies product, it comes with gluten-free certification, which is a nice extra.
This limited-edition flavor will be available for the season (or until sold out) at select retailers, with a suggested retail price of $6.99-$7.99 per 6-pack box.
Cons: It might sound overly critical, but I’d love to see a bolder pumpkin pie presence. The flavor level right now feels a touch too faint for my taste. If I’m ending my day with these (the most common scenario in my life), I want something that lingers on the palate as I wind down for bed. Let me savor the moment. Let me drift off thinking about pumpkin pie with a whipped cream drizzle.
Similarly, I’d prefer more than six mochi pieces per box. Perhaps that’s the Costco shopper in me talking, but six petite, ice-cream-filled mochi won’t keep me satisfied for long. Of course, adding more boxes would easily solve that. It’s hard to find real drawbacks in Bubbies’ pumpkin pie mochi for me.
